Country Store        See Our Specialty Items!

We have a fascination with the foods of our ancestors. This is of course a natural growth of our love for genealogy and American history. This sister website to our American Religion site and is intended to help make the lives of our ancestors a little more tangible. You will find that on this site under each category of food, we provide vendors who make and sell the foods. Aside from featuring old fashioned products, we also want to feature small businesses that have creatively taken old family recipes and created their own home style version of it. There are truly some amazing things being created in America. Yet all of them have their history in somebody's kitchen. Often a recipe handed down for generations.

Each of our sections will include some history of the product type we are discussing, the reviews of specific products we have tried and tested ourselves. We also tell you how you can order them for your own table, party, or for your next family reunion. It is our hopes that we can provide a larger market for small businesses that we see as offering very quality products. Many you will find are simply local to one state or to one part of a state or even community. Unless you’re traveling through that area you simply will miss some awesome family run canneries. We have also found some stores that sell these products that we personally recommend as not all family canneries have websites. We are really beating the bushes to feature both local and quality. If you've ever visited a working mill or farm you know just how wonderful and healthy home style and home grown products can be.

So if you’re tired of the mass produced foods that most of us buy at the grocery store then please come back to our website often as we'll be adding new products along the way.

If you produce products that you would like for us to review and consider adding to our website then please contact Dwight at dwight@radfordnoone.com and arrangements can be made.
